Art Padilla, professor of management at North Carolina State University’s College of Management, is the new head of the college’s Department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (MIE), according to a department news posting on its website.

Dean Ira R. Weiss announced the appointment on June 9, 2008, with the appointment to become effective on July 1, 2008.

The college's MIE department was established in 2007 "to bring together faculty who conduct research and teach in the areas of leadership, strategy, entrepreneurship, and organizational development".
